About the Event
Global Warming. Air and Water Pollution. Climate Change.
We all know that our shared planet is in a state of crisis. As educators, we need to help our students develop a deep appreciation for the environment so that they begin to act in more sustainable and responsible ways. Come join our community canvas, where we will discuss how teachers across the curriculum can help students develop a deeper appreciation for nature and the environment.
Our canvas will be entirely activity based. Our activities will center around the newly opened "Living Ocean" exhibit at DakshinaChitra, along with other exhibits that explore environmental issues through poetry, architecture, and art. This canvas is open to teachers from all subject areas. There will be very explicit connections to curricula used in Biology and EVS (CBSE/ICSE), Global Perspectives (IGCSE), English and Art (all boards).
Fee: Rs. 850/teacher (inclusive of lunch); if 4 or more teachers attend from a school, there is a group discount of Rs.800/teacher.
